Mac Outlook 2011 won’t start

I had a problem with Outlook 2011 for Mac OSX after my system had crashed. When I clicked the Outlook icon, nothing happened – not even an entry in the syslog log messages has been written.

The solution to that problem had been:

1. Click on the Outlook icon while pressing ALT.
2. A Microsoft Database Utility will appear that let you rebuild your identity.
   As you can see, it creates a backup every time you run the rebuild.

Mac OSX Mountain Lion, Truecrypt, NTFS and the hdiutil Error

I tried to mount Truecrypt Volumes with NTFS partitions on my MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion 10.8.4 using an older Version of OSXFUSE and NTFS for Tuxera which I bought especially for this purpose.

Nevertheless I struggled with en error saying “hdituil: attach failed – no mountable file systems”.
